OBAMAS “IMPACT” ON AMERICA!

Unemployment is no longer a problem. Obama has decreased the number of people looking for jobs with brilliant new leadership and innovative programs. So far he provided more than 2,000,000 capable Americans with Social Security Disability. We now have over 49,000,000 Americans on welfare. Making unemployment payments permanent will relieve several million others from having to look for work. His government now creates more than 100,000 new government jobs each month.

Since unemployment problems have improved, by next year we will have to increase immigration to the United States to just fill open jobs in the government sector. Companies can just continue to move operations to other countries as they will be unable to compete with the government pay scales and benefits. Raising the minimum wages will close all fast food operations and help achieve Obama’s goal to reduce calorie intake and make everyone healthier. The young people who are entering the work force and provided labor for the fast food industry will be required to live with their parents until they are 26. A new government cabinet level department will be required to settle family disruptions. They can name it Barack’s American Dispute Association or “BAD Ass” for an acronym. This will create the need for at least 200,000 more government lawyers.

With Obamacare eliminating preventive medical procedures for Americans over 75 will reduce the burden and costs of the unplanned increase we have had in life expectancy. This will allow more money to be taken from Medicare to increase Medicaid coverage for those who are unemployed and on welfare.

The next thing to prepare for is another government department to be named Stimulus Trust Ink or for an acronym “STINK”. All they will have to do is print a lot more money at an accelerated aggressive rate. Obama currently feels we have far too many unstimulated Americans that don’t really have enough money to feel stimulated. People just need to calm down as Obama promised us things will get better if we just give it enough time. Obama tells us we are the richest country on the planet and we have enough wealth to go around. The problem is that far too many have too much wealth and far too many deserve what others have worked for. Working hard to save has been totally unfair to those who really don’t want to work.

The latest news from our liberal leaders in Congress is that we have been unfair to our poor Congressmen and Senators who need more stimulus. These dedicated, loyal, honest, ethical, overworked public servants are having to scrape by on a measly 175K a year salary and benefits. Obama feels that those of us who did work and save for retirement should really feel ashamed of ourselves. We should agree to let them tax 100% of our Government benefits checks, our old Social Security money that we saved.

To make “STINK” work we will have to buy more printing presses to print more money. That really presents another major problem. We will have to outsource the work overseas since we can’t manufacture anything anymore. We can import the paper and save some of our trees. Along that thought process we could also save more trees by using plastic toilet paper.

Freedom loving Americans should go out and find someone that will admit they voted for Obama’s re-election and apologize to them for not supporting the “change” that they voted for. Just think Obama will have destroyed more freedoms in just eight years that all Presidents in America’s history.

It would not surprise me to see Obama receive a second Nobel Peace Prize for dividing, Congress and half of all Americans hating each other and making success look criminal for everyone but Liberal-Progressive politicians.

Americans, half of us can cry and half of you can applaud, we have destroyed ourselves from within. This was predicted by Marx and Lenin a long time ago. Obama can bow to Putin, at least Putin is a leader. Sadly they are both totally wrong and misguided.

OBAMA AND CONGRESSIONAL PRIORITIES???????????????????

QUESTION: Do you receive solicitation for charitable donations? Most Americans probably receive hundreds of mail and telephone request to help people who are in need. Since our current President assumed power the volume of these request has at least tripled for us. Having been born in 1930, I grew up during times when charities and churches were the only life line for more people than those who suffer today. Back then Americans took care of each other. Neighbors took care of neighbors.

Now neighbors don’t even know each other. One-half of all Americans now despise each other because that is the political objective of our President and Congress. The politicians can only survive by turning Americans against each other with every issue they can create or that happens by fate.

The bitterness of our current Democratic leaders like President Obama, Senator Reid, Congress member Pelosi to divide the people is sad and pitiful. The hate they espouse is unprecedented and the lack of decorum in Congress is not leadership. America is now a leaderless country. Every decision is political instead of sensible. This dissention of leadership has destroyed common sense in every aspect of our government, including the Supreme Court. The Republican leadership is so divided it has a hard time finding common positions to provide solutions for anything.

Let me walk you through some facts that should bother every American regarding our Governments priorities. I was honorably discharged after nearly five years in the US Navy when I was 22. The only veteran’s benefit I ever needed was a low interest GI loan for my first home. I was raised to take care of my family by working and I was blessed to be able to do this.

What prompted me to write this was inspired by opening one of the frequent request from “Wounded Warriors” who I have supported ever since Trace Adkins commercials first appeared on TV. This motivated me to do some research as it seems like we have far too many different organizations just to support the brave military veterans who put their life on the line to protect our freedoms. WOW, was I overwhelmed when I just examined two websites. Take a look at the following that I feel certain is not a complete list.

Charity and Aid Organizations that assist both active military personnel and veterans;Adopt a Platoon Soldier Support Effort, Admiral Nimitz Foundation, Air Warrior Courage Foundation, Air Force Aid Society, Alaska Veterans Outreach Boxes For Herpes, American Red Cross, American Gulf War Veterans Association, AMVETS National Service Foundation, Armed Forces Relief Trust, Armed Services YMCA of the USA, Army Emergency Fund, ASMBA STAR Foundation, Fisher House Foundation, Reconnect America, Aerospace Education Foundation, Air Force Enlisted Widows, Armed Forces Foundation, Astronauts Memorial Foundation, Billy Blanks Foundation, Blinded American Veterans Foundation, Blinded Veterans Association, Blue Star Moms, Cell Phones for Soldiers, Coalition to Salute American Hero’s, Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, Comfort for America’s Uniformed Services Elite, Daughters of American Revolution, Disabled American Veterans, Enduring Freedom K.I.A. Fund, Fallen Patriot Fund, First Command Educational Foundation, Fisher House Foundation, Folds of Honor, The Freedom Alliance, Freedom Is Not Free, Global War on Terrorism Veterans in Need, Help Hospitalized Veterans, Homes for Our Troops, Hope For The Warriors, IMA Hero(TM) Collection, Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Iraq& Afghanistan Veterans of America, Marine Corps Scholarship Fund, Marines Helping Marines, Men of Easy Company Association, Mercy Medical Airlift, Military Chaplains Association of the USA, Military Community Youth Ministries, Mission Continues, National Defense University Foundation, National Military Family Organization, National Veterans Foundation, National Veterans Services Fund, Inc., Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Navy Safe Harbor Foundation, Navy Seal Fund, New England Center for Homeless Veterans, Officers’ Christian Fellowship , Operation First Response, Operation Gratitude, Operation Homefront, Operation Interdependence, Operation Support Our Troops, Operation Love Reunited, Our Forgotten Warriors, Our Military Kids, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Pat Tillman Foundation, Phoenix House, Inc., Points of Light – Ponte Vedra Beach Rotary, Project Keeping Cadence Purple Heart Cars.org, Raising Consciousness America, Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Service Systems, See Your Troops Foundation, Skip Cares – Military Care Packages, Soldiers Angles, Snowball Express, Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Spirit of America, Support the Enlisted Project (STEP), Survivors of Servicemen (SOS) Fund, The Hugs Project, The Shade Tree, TIRR Foundation, Toys for Tots Foundation, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), USA Cares, USO, United Through Reading , Veterans Families United, Veterans Helping Veterans & Others, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Veterans Support Organization, Vietnam Veterans Assistance Fund, The Walter Reed Society, Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation, Women’s Resource Center of Manatee, Wounded Warriors Fund and the Wounded Warrior Project.

I read all of the stories of how our veterans are served by our government. The backlog of request for help from the Veterans Admiration is unacceptable. Congress talks about this and does nothing to help these people. I now understand why we have all of these charities, funds and foundations to help the “Hero’s”.

WHY?

Because Congress and our President could care less that these brave Americans volunteered to serve to protect us and they should be given every priority possible. They are not an important voting bloc to help them get re-elected.

A crack-head welfare recipient can destroy themselves physically and be approved for Social Security Disability faster than a critically wounded soldier can wade through the VA red tape for a disability rating.

WHY?

Because we keep voting for the Progressive Liberals that divide Americans and turn us against each other on purpose. It is time to clean out Washington and agree to elect a leader to “UNITE” us again. How do you feel? C Brewer

AFFORDABLE CARE FOR WHO?

Regardless of what Queen Nancy Pelosi tells you to call ObamaCare most American’s got screwed.

My good friend, Dr. Peter Forrest shared this individual’s factual experience with ObamaCare. This man must be one of the “Stupid” Americans that Harry Reid described in his interview yesterday who does not understand modern anything. Why can’t at least one news service publish these experiences? I don’t blame the man for wanting to remain anonymous and hidden from the “IRS, Political Destruction Service. I am sure that every Democrat in Congress that voted for the Affordable Care Act can explain to you why you are better off. That is if you are an illegal alien, on welfare or struggling with unemployment. C Brewer

I’m a 54 year old consulting engineer and make between $60,000 and $125,000 per year, depending on how hard I work and whether or not there are work projects out there for me.

My girlfriend is 61 and makes about $18,000 per year, working as a part-time mail clerk.

For me, making $60,000 a year, under ObamaCare, the cheapest, lowest grade policy I can buy, which also happens to impose a $5,000 deductible, costs $482 per month.

For my girlfriend, the same exact policy, same deductible, costs $1 per month. That’s right, $1 per month. I’m not making this up.

Don’t believe me? Just go to http://www.coveredca.gov/ , the ObamaCare website for California and enter the parameters I’ve mentioned above and see for yourself. By the way, my zip code is 93940. You’ll need to enter that.

So OK, clearly ObamaCare is a scheme that involves putting the cost burden of healthcare onto the middle and upper-income wage earners. But there’s a lot more to it. Stick with me.

And before I make my next points, I’d like you to think about something:

I live in Monterey County, in Central California. We have a large land mass but just 426,000 residents – about the population of Colorado Springs or the city of Omaha.

But we do have a large Hispanic population, including a large number of illegal aliens, and to serve this group we have Natividad Medical Center, a massive, Federally subsidized county medical complex that takes up an area about one-third the size of the Chrysler Corporation automobile assembly plant in Belvedere, Illinois (see Google Earth View). Natividad has state-of-the-art operating rooms, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, fully equipped, 24 hour emergency room, and much more. If you have no insurance, if you’ve been in a drive-by shooting or have overdosed on crack cocaine, this is where you go. And it’s essentially free, because almost everyone who ends up in the ER is uninsured.

Last year, 2,735 babies were born at Natividad. 32% of these were born to out-of-wedlock teenage mothers, 93% of which were Hispanic. Less than 20% could demonstrate proof of citizenship, and 71% listed their native language as Spanish. Of these 876 births, only 40 were covered under [any kind of] private health insurance. The taxpayers paid for the other 836. And in case you were wondering about the entire population – all 2,735 births – less than 24% involved insured coverage or even partial payment on behalf of the patient to the hospital in exchange for services. Keep this in mind as we move forward.

Now consider this:

If I want to upgrade my policy to a low-deductible premium policy, such as what I had with my last employer, my cost is $886 per month. But my girlfriend can upgrade her policy to the very same level, for just $4 per month. That’s right, $4 per month. $48 per year for a zero-deductible, premium healthcare policy – the kind of thing you get when you work at IBM (except of course, IBM employees pay an average of $170 per month out of pocket for their coverage).

I mean, it’s bad enough that I will be forced to subsidize the

ObamaCare scheme in the first place. But even if I agreed with the basic scheme, which of course I do not, I would never agree to subsidize premium policies. If I have to pay $482 a month for a budget policy, I sure as hell do not want the guy I’m subsidizing to get a better policy, for less that 1% of what I have to fork out each month for a low-end policy. Why must I pay $482 per month for something the other guy gets for a dollar? And why should the other guy get to buy an $886 policy for $4 a month? Think about this: I have to pay $10,632 a year for the same thing that the other guy can get for $48. $10,000 of net income is 60 days of full time work as an engineer. $48 is something I could pay for collecting aluminum cans and plastic bottles, one day a month.

Are you with me on this? Are you starting to get an idea what ObamaCare is really about?

ObamaCare is not about dealing with inequities in the healthcare system. That’s just the cover story. The real story is that it is amassive, political power grab. Do you think anyone who can insurehimself with a premium policy for $4 a month will vote for anyone but the political party that provides him such a deal? ObamaCare is about enabling, subsidizing, and expanding the Left’s political power base, at taxpayer expense. Why would I vote for anyone but a Democrat if I can have babies for $4 a month? For that matter, why would I go to college or strive for a better job or income if it means I have to pay real money for healthcare coverage? Heck, why study engineering when I can be a schlub for $20K per year and buy a new F-150 with all the money I’m saving?

And think about those $4-a-month babies – think in terms of propagation models. Think of just how many babies will be born to irresponsible, under-educated mothers. Will we get a new crop of brain surgeons and particle physicists from the dollar baby club, or will we need more cops, criminal courts and prisons? One thing you can be certain of: At $4 a month, they’ll multiply, and multiply, and multiply. And not one of them will vote Republican.

ObamaCare: It’s all about political power.

WISDOM FROM HISTORY!

AMERICA – A LAND OF LAWS NO MORE!

Slowly President Obama and Eric Holder have replaced Congress in deciding what laws need to be enforced and systematically destroying States Rights. They have control of the Federal Judges and since Roberts allowed them to shove Obamacare upon us, they have control of the Supreme Court. They are in no hurry as they have three more years to accomplish the Progressive-Liberals dream of total Federal Government control of every aspect of your life.

They ignore the immigration laws and silence the States when they try to enforce them. They are suing the States that require picture ID for voters so people can continue to vote multiple times and they can’t produce picture ID’s for the dead Democratic voters.

We have two states that recently voted to allow the sale of recreational marijuana and Mr. Holder announced the Justice Department would not enforce federal laws that prohibit sale or use of the narcotic. I expect that this trend will be expanded to all drugs as soon as California gets into action.

It is not what laws they decide to ignore that troubles me, it is why they are permitted to decide which laws to enforce. If Congress wanted to abolish these laws I have no problem. It would not surprise me if we see Holder decide to ignore prosecuting Democrats who commit murder, robbery, theft and extortion. He has already refused to charge some for voter intimidation and fraud.

This week Holder and the Obama administration jumped into the middle of the emotional and politicized debate over State same-sex marriage bans, declaring in an interview that state attorneys general are not obligated to defend laws that they believe are discriminatory. A Federal Judge ruled this week that the Texas law against same-sex marriage violates the Constitution. WOW, it took 250 years to discover this hidden in the most attacked doctrine in world history. I am wondering if Texas passed a law to not recognize the marriage of a man and a goat that Progressive Judge would find it Unconstitutional?

Mr. Holder stated that when laws touch on core constitutional issues like equal protection, an attorney general should apply the highest level of scrutiny before reaching a decision on whether to defend it. He said the decision should never be political or based on policy objections. Can anyone advise me of “any” decision made by a State, Congress, the Executive Branch or the Judicial Branch of our Federal Government been made for any reason other than political?

Quoting Holder, “Engaging in that process and making that determination is something that’s appropriate for an attorney general to do,”

Mr. Holder also cited the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case, which forced public school integration in 1954.  He said “If I were attorney general in Kansas in 1953, I would not have defended a Kansas statute that put in place separate-but-equal facilities,” Mr. Holder said.

Holder has said he views today’s gay-rights campaigns as a continuation of the civil rights movement that won rights for black Americans in the 1950s and ’60s. Holder stated gay rights one of “the defining civil rights challenges of our time.”

To accelerate the unbelievable growing lawlessness Holder is now asking the states’ attorneys generals to pick and choose the laws they defend or prosecute.

In 2008 Obama was forceful in his opposition to Proposition 8, the California ballot measure which would eliminate a right to same-sex marriage that the state’s Supreme Court recently recognized.

Obama also said, “I’ve stated my opposition to this. I think it’s unnecessary,” Obama told MTV. “I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage. But when you start playing around with constitutions, just to prohibit somebody who cares about another person, it just seems to me that’s not what America’s about.” “Usually, our constitutions expand liberties, they don’t contract them,” he added.

There is no risk on his part, just as there was no risk on the president’s part. Both are posing, and in posing, sanitize a deep hatred of America’s laws.

If Holder can refuse to defend one portion of the Constitution, why not another? Next I expect Holder and Obama to encourage pro-life State Attorney Generals and District Attorney’a to stop defending abortion clinics beset by protesters. Following this Holder will convience State law officials that heroin addiction is a disease and the use of heroin wrongly classified as a crime to cease prosecuting offenders brought by their law enforcement officials to their jails.

Laws exist to require that every elected official comply. At least that was required before Obama and Holder.  The Rule of Law is supposed to protect every American including those being represented by crooked politicians. It appears we have no laws to protect us from Obama, Holder, Reid or Pelosi just to name four. The Federal Courts are so packed with Progressive-Liberals it will take two generations to just get the balance that represents the majority of Americans back in power.

Holders latest encouragement to lawlessness ought to press an answer from every political candidate before every election: Will you uphold your oath and defend all of the Federal/State existing laws as you stand here and swear to do, or do you plan to selectively choose the laws to ignore?

The scariest thing for freedom loving Americans is watching Congress shove laws like the “Affordable Care Act” on us when the Democrats that had total control and did not even read what they voted for.

If the Democrats regain total power get ready to turn in your guns, sign over your retirement savings and if you are over 75, order your Casket or Urn. On second thought, if you are over 75 go ahead and place your order now. Obamacare assures your long-term healthcare is now severely limited or unaffordable for most.

I anticipate negative comments from the younger folks, including friends and family telling me I am over reacting. Well I am 83+ and if any of my critics has anything to say, wait to see if you make 83, then tell my heirs I was wrong.

How many people under 65 who read this expect to live to be 83? If no, why? Sorta scary isn’t it!

“VOTE”, you never know when it will be your last time you have the right.

TWO AMERICAS

Bob Lonsberry, a Rochester talk radio personality on WHAM 1180 AM, said this in response to Obama’s “income inequality speech”:

The Democrats are right, there are two Americas.

The America that works, and the America that doesn’t.

The America that contributes, and the America that doesn’t.

It’s not the haves and the have not’s, it’s the dos and the don’ts.

Some people do their duty as Americans, obey the law, support themselves, contribute to society, and others don’t.   That’s the divide in America.

It’s not about income inequality, it’s about civic irresponsibility.

It’s about a political party that preaches hatred, greed and victimization in order to win elective office.

It’s about a political party that loves power more than it loves its country.   That’s not invective, that’s truth, and it’s about time someone said it.

The politics of envy was on proud display a couple weeks ago when President Obama pledged the rest of his term to fighting “income inequality.”   He noted that some people make more than other people, that some people have higher incomes than others, and he says that’s not just.

That is the rationale of thievery. The other guy has it, you want it, Obama will take it for you. Vote Democrat.

That is the philosophy that produced Detroit.   It is the electoral philosophy that is destroying America.

It conceals a fundamental deviation from American values and common sense because it ends up not benefiting the people who support it, but a betrayal.

The Democrats have not empowered their followers, they have enslaved them in a culture of dependence and entitlement, of victim-hood and anger instead of ability and hope.

The president’s premise – that you reduce income inequality by debasing the successful – seeks to deny the successful the consequences of their choices and spare the unsuccessful the consequences of their choices.

Because, by and large, income variations in society is a result of different choices leading to different consequences.   Those who choose wisely and responsibly have a far greater likelihood of success, while those who choose foolishly and irresponsibly have a far greater likelihood of failure.   Success and failure usually manifest themselves in personal and family income.

You choose to drop out of high school or to skip college – and you are apt to have a different outcome than someone who gets a diploma and pushes on with purposeful education.

You have your children out of wedlock and life is apt to take one course;  you have them within a marriage and life is apt to take another course.

Most often in life our destination is determined by the course we take.

My doctor, for example, makes far more than I do.  There is significant income inequality between us.  Our lives have had an inequality of outcome, but, our lives also have had an in equality of effort.   While my doctor went to college and then devoted his young adulthood to medical school and residency, I got a job in a restaurant.

He made a choice, I made a choice, and our choices led us to different outcomes.   His outcome pays a lot better than mine.

Does that mean he cheated and Barack Obama needs to take away his wealth?   No, it means we are both free men in a free society where free choices lead to different outcomes.

It is not inequality Barack Obama intends to take away, it is freedom.  The freedom to succeed, and the freedom to fail.

There is no true option for success if there is no true option for failure.

The pursuit of happiness means a whole lot less when you face the punitive hand of government if your pursuit brings you more happiness than the other guy.

Even if the other guy sat on his butt and did nothing.   Even if the other guy made a lifetime’s worth of asinine and shortsighted decisions.

Barack Obama and the Democrats preach equality of outcome as a right, while completely ignoring inequality of effort.

The simple Law of the Harvest – as ye sow, so shall ye reap – is sometimes applied as, “The harder you work, the more you get.”  Obama would turn that upside down. Those who achieve are to be punished as enemies of society and those who fail are to be rewarded as wards of society.

Entitlement will replace effort as the key to upward mobility in American society if Barack Obama gets his way.   He seeks a lowest common denominator society in which the government besieges the successful and productive to foster equality through mediocrity.

He and his party speak of two Americas, and their grip on power is based on using the votes of one to sap the productivity of the other.   America is not divided by the differences in our outcomes, it is divided by the differences in our efforts.   It is a false philosophy to say one man’s success comes about unavoidably as the result of another man’s victimization.

What Obama offered was not a solution, but a separatism.   He fomented division and strife, pitted one set of Americans against another for his own political benefit.  That’s what socialists offer. Marxist class warfare wrapped up with a bow.

Two Americas, coming closer each day to proving the truth to Lincoln’s maxim that a house divided against itself cannot stand.

I RECEIVED THIS FROM A FRIEND, ALLAN MOORE, AND DID NOT CHANGE A WORD. THE SAD PART IS THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE DEMOCRATS HAVE TRIED TO DO FOR 100 YEARS. THIS TIME THEY HAVE DIVIDED US. C BREWER

AMERICAS FUTURE? MORE THAN LIKELY!

My friend Allan Moore sent me this article and I decided to post this on the blog so it can be recorded for someone to evaluate how history unfolds. I have no idea who wrote this to give credit but I am certain we face this outcome if we don’t wake up. Someday the ultra conservatives will discover that their unbending hatred for a single issue, abortion, was the reason we lost our freedoms in America. Someone join me and program their computer to review this in 2022 as I may not be around.

Thanksgiving Day – 2022

Winston, come into the dining room, it’s time to eat,” Julia yelled to her husband. “In a minute, honey, it’s a tie score,” he answered. Actually Winston wasn’t very interested in the traditional holiday football game between Detroit and Washington. Ever since the government passed the Civility in Sports Statute of 2017, outlawing tackle football for its “unseemly violence” and the “bad example it sets for the rest of the world,” Winston was far less of a football fan than he used to be. Two-hand touch wasn’t nearly as exciting.

Yet it wasn’t the game that Winston was uninterested in. It was more the thought of eating another Tofu Turkey. Even though it was the best type of Veggie Meat available after the government revised the American Anti-Obesity Act of 2018, adding fowl to the list of federally-forbidden foods, (which already included potatoes, cranberry sauce and mince-meat pie), it wasn’t anything like real turkey.

And ever since the government officially changed the name of “Thanksgiving Day” to “A National Day of Atonement” in 2020 to officially acknowledge the Pilgrims’ historically brutal treatment of Native Americans, the holiday had lost a lot of its luster.

Eating in the dining room was also a bit daunting. The unearthly gleam of government-mandated fluorescent light bulbs made the Tofu Turkey look even weirder than it actually was, and the room was always cold. Ever since

Congress passed the Power Conservation Act of 2016, mandating all thermostats – which were monitored and controlled by the electric company – be kept at 68 degrees, every room on the north side of the house was barely tolerable throughout the entire winter.

Still, it was good getting together with family. Or at least most of the family. Winston missed his mother, who passed on in October, when she had used up her legal allotment of life-saving medical treatment. He had had many heated conversations with the Regional Health Consortium, spawned when the private insurance market finally went bankrupt, and everyone was forced into the government health care program. And though he demanded she be kept on her treatment, it was a futile effort. “The RHC’s resources are limited,” explained the government bureaucrat Winston spoke with on the phone. “Your mother received all the benefits to which she was entitled. I’m sorry for your loss.”

Ed couldn’t make it either. He had forgotten to plug in his electric car last night, the only kind available after the Anti-Fossil Fuel Bill of 2021 outlawed the use of the combustion engines-for everyone but government officials. The fifty mile round trip was about ten miles too far, and Ed didn’t want to spend a frosty night on the road somewhere between here and there.

Thankfully, Winston’s brother, John, and his wife were flying in. Winston made sure that the dining room chairs had extra cushions for the occasion. No one complained more than John about the pain of sitting down so soon after the government-mandated cavity searches at airports, which severely aggravated his hemorrhoids. Ever since a terrorist successfully smuggled a cavity bomb onto a jetliner, the TSA told Americans the added “inconvenience” was an “absolute necessity” in order to stay “one step ahead of the terrorists.” Winston’s own body had grown accustomed to such probing ever since the government expanded their scope to just about anywhere a crowd gathered, via Anti-Profiling Act of 2022. That law made it a crime to single out any group or individual for “unequal scrutiny,” even when probable cause was involved. Thus, cavity searches at malls, train stations, bus depots, etc., etc., had become almost routine. Almost.

The Supreme Court is reviewing the statute, but most Americans expect a Court composed of six progressives and three conservatives to leave the law intact. “A living Constitution is extremely flexible,” said the Court’s eldest member, Elena Kagan. “Europe has had laws like this one for years. We should learn from their example,” she added.

Winston’s thoughts turned to his own children. He got along fairly well with his 12-year-old daughter, Brittany, mostly because she ignored him. Winston had long ago surrendered to the idea that she could text anyone at any time, even during Atonement Dinner. Their only real confrontation had occurred when he limited her to 50,000 texts a month, explaining that was all he could afford. She whined for a week, but got over it.

His 16-year-old son, Jason, was another matter altogether. Perhaps it was the constant bombarding he got in public school that global warming, the bird flu, terrorism or any of a number of other calamities were “just around the corner,” but Jason had developed a kind of nihilistic attitude that ranged between simmering surliness and outright hostility. It didn’t help that Jason had reported his father to the police for smoking a cigarette in the house, an act made criminal by the Smoking Control Statute of 2018, which outlawed smoking anywhere within 500 feet of another human being. Winston paid the $5,000 fine, which might have been considered excessive before the American dollar became virtually worthless as a result of QE13. The latest round of quantitative easing the federal government initiated was, once again, to “spur economic growth.” This time they promised to push unemployment below its years-long rate of 18%, but Winston was not particularly hopeful.

Yet the family had a lot for which to be thankful, Winston thought, before remembering it was a Day of Atonement. At least he had his memories.

He felt a twinge of sadness when he realized his children would never know what life was like in the Good Old Days, long before government promises to make life “fair for everyone” realized their full potential. Winston, like so many of his fellow Americans, never realized how much things could change when they didn’t happen all at once, but little by little, so people could get used to them.

He wondered what might have happened if the public had stood up while there was still time, maybe back around 2011, when all the real nonsense began. “Maybe we wouldn’t be where we are today if we’d just said, ‘Enough is Enough’ when we had the chance,” he thought.  Maybe so, Winston. Maybe so.

……….AND WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT IT????

Absolutely nothing!

The day we lose our will to fight is the day we lose our freedom.

“GOD SAVE AMERICA”

CONGRESS HAS GIVEN UP!

VETERANS WAKE UP!

We need a “Military Leader”, if one exists, to organize every American veteran to stop the attack on our constitution and freedoms that President and Congressional Democrats are destroying. Congress sits on its hands and watches laws being ignored, executive orders violate the Constitution and a Supreme Court that ignores the misuse of power. Why did we serve to protect our constitution and freedoms and now have an enemy who has shredded our freedoms without firing a shot? I am one veteran ready to join a movement to stop the madness.  C Brewer

“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress & the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

OBAMA IS ABSOLUTELY A DISGRACE TO ALL WHO FOUGHT FOR THIS NATION AND GAVE THEIR LIVES.

VETERANS – PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO YOUR VETERAN FRIENDS AND CONTACTS!!!!!!

June 6, 2013, the 69th anniversary of “D-Day”, the largest invasion ever attempted, where 200,000 Americans stormed the beaches at Normandy to begin the final push to defeat Nazi Germany in WWII. D-Day marked the turning point in WWII in Europe, where the Nazis were engaged in mass murder of Jews and minorities by the thousands.

Today, European heads of state make it a point to recall and honor the sacrifices of those who landed in Normandy, as do our Presidents….well, most of them….

In the 69 years since D-Day, there are four occasions when the President of the United States chose not to visit the D-Day Monument that honors the soldiers killed during the Invasion.

The occasions were:

1. Barack Obama, 2010

2. Barack Obama, 2011

3. Barack Obama, 2012

4. Barack Obama, 2013

For the past 69 years, every American President except Obama have taken the time to honor the memory and sacrifices of the 6,000 American soldiers killed on D-Day. …Except Obama!

June 6 2010, Obama had no events scheduled.

June 6, 2011, Obama met with the National Security team and was interviewed by WEWS Cleveland and WDIV in Detroit about the auto industry – FAR too busy to visit the D-Day memorial.

June 6, 2012, instead of honoring our fallen soldiers, Obama made a campaign trip to California on Air Force 1 (at our expense) to raise funds for (his) upcoming election.

June 6, 2013, Obama was doing ANOTHER fund raiser with the multimillionaires in the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in Palo Alto CA, once again at our expense.

America – Aren’t you proud?

But, the Obamas where able to attend Mandela’s memorial!

ANON

WHAT OUR CONSTITUTION REQUIRES!

I have no idea who wrote this factual article that my friend Ron Jenkins sent me but I hope every real American alive gets to read this. The Progressive-Liberals and our main stream media, even Fox News, will never provide these facts. This is the greatest description of our Marxists President plan to destroy the greatest country on earth. The apathy of Congress and our Supreme Court to stop this lawless movement is the biggest crime ever perpertrated in our history.

I challenge anyone to prove this wrong, C Brewer

The oft-repeated mantra of Barack Hussein Obama and his Administration is that their public service obligation is to accomplish “what the American people want.” At best, this constitutes a gross misinterpretation of the constitutional role of the executive, and at worst, it wholly and maliciously discards the intent of that founding text.

If not for Obama’s unmistakable Socialist agenda, the populist appeal of this mantra might be excused as “constituent services” run amok in response to opinion polling, but its intent is much more sinister. In reality, the words “what the people want” are just code for a political agenda that may or may not have any correlation with what “the people” actually want, and, moreover, any correlation with what our Constitution prescribes.

Worse yet is that some notable Republicans have now adopted Obama’s mischaracterization of their duty, which serves only to legitimize this subterfuge.

When Barack Obama was running for president, he asserted: “You know I taught constitutional law for 10 years at the University of Chicago, so, your next president will actually believe in the Constitution.” In his campaign treatise, “The Audacity of Hope,” he feigns appreciation for the Constitution: “I confess that there is a fundamental humility to this reading of the Constitution and our democratic process.”  What a crock!!

In reality, his contempt for our Constitution is unprecedented and framing his agenda as “what the people want” is a covert assault upon Rule of Law, consistent with his “fundamental transformation” scheme for “change.”

Obama packages his assault as follows:

What the American people want more than anything… The American people want to know if it’s still possible for Washington to look out for their interest, for their future. … That’s the project the American people want us to work on. … The fact of the matter is the American people already agree with me. The American people want Washington leaders to act… I believe it’s time to give the American people more control…

The American people want to see Washington … make progress on jobs. … What the American people don’t want… That’s what the American people expect. … Get the business of the American people done. …something this important to the American people. The American people want us to reform… The American people want less… The American people want more… Everybody understands that the American people want us to focus on their jobs…

Ad Nauseum. (Is this perfectly clear to you??)

Typical of his arrogance, when his agenda does not progress, he suggests that the American people are just too stupid to understand it. “Making an argument that people can understand, I think that we haven’t always been successful at that. Republicans were able to paint my governing philosophy as a classic, traditional, big government liberal. And that’s not something that the American people want.”

Obama’s Senate lap dog, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), got the memo:

The American people love government but they don’t like too much politics in government. … The American people want us to work together. … The Tea Party’s unpopularity continues to grow, because the American people sees [sic] how unreasonable they are. … It’s clear that while the American people and Senate Democrats are looking ahead, Senate Republicans are looking for a way to distract the American people. … I don’t think the American people want to do that. … What the American people wants now is certainty.

Unfortunately, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is reading from the same script:

Both sides are working hard to reach the kind of resolution Americans desire. … We know what the American people want. … Something we know the American people want. The American people want us to put aside the left-wing wish list. … Democrat lawmakers chose to ignore the American people. … The American people want us to focus on creating jobs. … Republicans have a plan for following through on the wishes of the American people.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is, not surprisingly, singing the same tune:

Democrats now need to talk about how we have a progressive economic agenda. That’s what the American people want. … Let’s just do what is right for the American people. … Those of us who are involved in politics and government know that our responsibility is to the American people.

Regrettably, second only to Obama’s invoking “what the people want” is none other than House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH):

It’s encouraging to see President Obama acknowledge that the American people want us to focus on creating jobs and cutting spending. … Our job now is to listen to the people and follow the will of the American people. … The American people want us to do something. … The American people want us to scrap this bill. … When are we going to begin to listen once again to the American people? … Beginning in January, the House is going to become the outpost in Washington for the American people. … I hope President Obama will listen to the American people. … If we don’t deliver what the American people are demanding… Instead of living up to the mandate set by the American people, congressional Democrats have defied the will of the American people. … What we need to do is to listen to the American people. … If we’re listening to the American people, I don’t see any problems incorporating members of the Tea Party along with our party in a quest that’s really the same. … The American people want us to focus on their message.

On the eve of his ascension to the Speaker’s chair, Boehner, who has had some difficulty citing the Constitution, proclaimed, “The American people want a smaller, more accountable government — and that starts with respecting the Constitution. That’s why we will read it on the floor next week. It sends the clear message that starting on January 5th, the House of Representatives will be the American people’s outpost in Washington, DC.”

“Respecting the Constitution” because that is “what the people want”? That’s just wrong! Honor the Constitution because that is your sacred obligation, if you in fact honor your sacred oath to support Rule of Law, not flippant populism.

Our United States Constitution, as written and ratified, stipulates in its preface that it is “ordained and established” by the people to “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” To that end, it established a Republic, not a popular democracy, which is to say it affirmed the primacy of Rule of Law over rule of men.

Accordingly, the first order of business for those elected to national office is that they be bound by oath to “preserve, protect and defend” the Constitution under which they were duly elected.

For those elected to the presidency, Article II, Section 1 is clear: “Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation: ‘I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.’”

Likewise Article VI, Clause 3 specifies, “The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution…”

Our Founders intended that elected officials, by way of their oaths, would be constrained by Rule of Law. However, there was an errant assumption that those elected would be men and women of honor, who would abide by their oaths.

Democrats and Republicans alike, who justify the violation of the explicitly enumerated powers authorized by our Constitution, ostensibly because they are doing “what the people want,” are in abject violation of their oaths, and they are not being held accountable for that fundamental breach of trust.

Representative Boehner did open the 112th Congress with a bipartisan reading of an “abridged”, politically correct version of our Constitution.

Also, in his brief opening remarks to the 112th Congress, Boehner did say, “Let’s start with the rules package the House will consider today. If passed, it will change how this institution operates, with an emphasis on real transparency, greater accountability, and a renewed focus on the Constitution.”

However, as for his much-heralded revision of clause 7 of House rule XII to specify, “A bill or joint resolution may not be introduced unless the sponsor submits for printing in the Congressional Record a statement citing as specifically as practicable the power or powers granted to Congress in the Constitution to enact the bill or joint resolution,” the qualifier “specifically as practicable” undermines any substance this proposal might have had and should be stricken post haste.

This House Rule alteration falls well short of what we really need, The Enumerated Powers Amendment as proposed by The Patriot Post years ago.

Despite the fact that Republican leaders are flip-flopping on what this “Constitution thing” is about, the good news is that most of the freshman class in the 112th Congress are a new breed of representative singularly devoted to our Constitution and Rule of Law.

Perhaps congressional leaders should remember a piece of advice from George Washington’s farewell address: “The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of Government. But the Constitution, which at any time exists, ’till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole People, is sacredly obligatory upon all. … If, in the opinion of the people the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this in one instance may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed. The precedent must always greatly overbalance in permanent evil any partial or transient benefit, which the use can at any time yield.”

The Constitution is the law of this land.  It is not passe’ or outdated and if there needs to be changes to it, let it happen through the proscribed amendment process.

If there are those in Congress or desire to be elected to Congress, they must not even consider running for office if they don’t understand that a major criterion to serve is their active steadfast support and defense of our Constitution.  It is not optional, it is not over ruled by any political ideology or party dogma.

One thing that Obama, Congress, the Supreme Court and our military have accomplished is dividing America into two totally different countries trying to function as one. Our name should now be “The Divided States of America”. CB
